Emergency Drinking Water Donation from Anheuser-Busch
The Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department has received a donation of emergency drinking water from Anheuser-Busch.
The water is meant to help keep their firefighters hydrated during wildfire response efforts.
The donation was made in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC).
The 2,300+ cans of water were delivered on Thursday, June 11th.
“The Kentucky heat can be brutal during emergency responses, especially during wildfire season, placing significant physical demands on our firefighters. During these times, hydration is especially important to keep our crews running at their best,” said Red Lick VFD Assistant Fire Chief Chad Furrow. “We’re grateful to Anheuser-Busch and the National Volunteer Fire Council for providing resources that directly support firefighter safety and operational readiness.”
The company, since 1988, has had its breweries in Colorado and Georgia pause beer production to produce emergency drinking water for times of need.
In that nearly 40 years, Anheuser-Busch has donated more than 100 million cans of drinking water for communities impacted by disaster.
