Reaching Red Flag Warnings

Reaching Red Flag Warnings

🚫🔥 Burn Ban Reminder 🔥🚫

With wind gusts reaching up to 50 mph and humidity levels dropping into the mid-30% range, conditions are extremely dry and dangerous for any type of open burning. These conditions are very close to Red Flag warning criteria, meaning fires can start easily and spread very quickly.

We want to remind everyone that the burn ban is currently in effect. Even small fires like brush piles, trash burning, or backyard fire pits can get out of control in seconds when winds are this strong.

Our volunteers have already been staying busy, and fires fueled by wind can quickly threaten homes, fields, and roadways.

🚒 Please help us keep our community safe:
• Do not burn brush, trash, or debris
• Avoid outdoor fires and fire pits
• Secure trailers, chains, or equipment that could cause sparks
• Report any smoke or fire immediately

A single spark in these conditions can turn into a large grass or field fire in minutes. We appreciate everyone doing their part to help protect our community and keep our firefighters safe.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
