America is running out of fire trucks
Across the country, fire departments are facing a growing challenge that many people may not realize is happening. The supply of new fire engines is becoming limited, and the cost of purchasing a new engine has risen by nearly 64% in recent years.
At the same time, replacement parts for existing trucks are becoming harder to find. Many departments like our own are being forced to keep aging equipment on the road longer while waiting months β sometimes years β for repairs or new fire truck.
For volunteer departments like ours, this puts even more pressure on the people and equipment that serve our community every day. Despite these challenges, our firefighters remain committed to answering every call and protecting our neighbors when they need us most.
We appreciate the continued support from our community here at the Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department. Your support, understanding, and encouragement mean more than you know as we work through these nationwide challenges together. ππΊπΈ
